Breast lift augmentation and health hazard
Currently an increasing number of reports referring to Breast lift augmentation surgery complications have been known. In fact, health issues related to breast implants have a long history. The most notorious case is Dow Corning silicone implants. As from 1998 a number of class actions legal suits were issued referring to the faulty conditions of their implants and the increased complications risk the women who had received them during a breast lift augmentation procedure suffered.
In general, many women complain about a diffuse sensation of soreness, joint pain and even fever, as if it was a mild flu. Thing is that, unlike flue that goes away in a week, these women underwent this condition for months, even years.
There is also a suspicion of connection between connective tissue disorders, autoimmune diseases and breast implants. There have been reports of carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome in women with silicone breast implants.
Also, the use of contraceptive pills depress the immune system, and women with breast implant probably have a higher rate of consumption of these birth control methods. This is a dangerous connection, because, basically, the body is constantly rejecting and fighting against the intruders: the silicone implants. Thus, an increase in the chance of developing an autoimmune disease does not seem so farfetched.
Many women found out that these symptoms disappeared after they had the implants removed. In consequence, it would make sense to say that breast augmentation lift surgery puts the patients at least in a very vulnerable position regarding their health.
